This is our third annual Favorite Shots of the Year post. This year they are in chronological order. Each has a story to tell, an emotion to share, or a moment to freeze in time. They are comprised of wedding photos, senior portraits, school portraits, sporting events, and even some baby birds. We had fun putting this gallery of images together and we hope you enjoy them. For 2021, we present our top 21 photos. Throughout 2021, we photographed 372 sessions. These include everything from quick in-studio class photo makeups to all-day events like weddings. In all, this totaled just over 380,000 photos taken so to narrow it down to 21 was a challenge.

We could go on for paragraphs…. Like all our couples who got married in 2020, they had to scale back on their plans for their ceremony and reception so the big party is going to have to wait until later in 2021. Here are some of their shots from later in the evening.
Read More2020 is a year most of us will never forget, no matter how much we try. It has been a year of highs and lows. For our studio, it was not the year we’d hoped for, but we also have been able to weather the COVID storm and the temporary shutdowns. All told, we photographed 189 events including weddings, seniors, families, headshots, special events, newspaper gigs, sporting events, team photos and commercial projects. In total, we shot just over 215,000 photos. We went back and forth, trying to narrow those 215,000 shots down to our top “20 photos for 2020”, and it was a tough task. Please don’t take it personally if your photo is not in this list. We could have made a top 2020 for 2020 but we think that would have been a bit too much. So, with that said, here we go, in no particular order… our top “20 photos from 2020”…
